Why We Started Verve — And Where We Are Now

When we first imagined Verve Collaborative Health, it wasn’t just about opening a clinic—it was about building an environment in which both clinicians and clients could truly thrive.

Kristi had been working as a psychiatric nurse practitioner for several years. But as she recounted:

“I wasn’t overly happy where I was, and I was looking for other options… there really wasn’t any other place I felt I wanted to practice at.”

With Kristi leading the clinical side and Aaron steering the operations and technology, we set out to build the kind of practice we wished existed.

From day one, our roles were complementary:

• Kristi Bose, clinical lead and co-founder, advocated for compassionate, ethical patient care.

• Aaron Bose, business & technology lead, built the systems and infrastructure needed for scalability.

And we knew we needed strong operational foundations to support what Kristi had envisioned.

Meet Sheena Cole: The Operations Architect

Sheena Cole joined Verve early on and helped turn our clinical vision into an operational reality. As Director of Provider Services (“Athena Ninja”), Sheena brought expertise in revenue cycle management, contracting and credentialing, document and policy creation, EHR implementation, HIPAA compliance, and provider relations. Her leadership in these areas enabled Verve to build systems that genuinely supported clinicians and clients alike vervech.com.

She isn't a provider or client-facing clinician—but she shaped the operational infrastructure that allowed clinicians to focus on patient care rather than administrative burden.

A Shift Toward Something Bigger

At Verve, we realized independent mental health practices don’t have to be constrained by infrastructure gaps. The systems that supported Kristi were equally applicable to other clinicians and practices.

That realization led us to create WiseMind Innovations—a broader platform built on the core principles we used when Verve began.
